Our newsletter You Need This is produced seasonally, in 8-page magazine format, with listings of all CCA classes, events, exhibitions etc.You can expect:
- a wide range of local artistic activity
- highlighting issues of cultural interest in the EH16 area
- profiles of current and former volunteer-activists
- celebrating local creative talent, known or as yet undiscovered.
You will find it at various local community outlets, with Spring 10 edition out now!

You Need This magazine is not only FREE locally, but available ONLINE. Each edition can be downloaded [below], but if copies are required by post, please contact us.
Let us hear from you!
For future issues, we will be pleased to hear from local residents, writers, teachers, former CFS members or CCA volunteer-activists with a story to feature, an issue to spotlight, reminisces to share, skills to offer, letters to write, or feedback to give us.
In short, You Need This is YOUR space to stimulate creative EH16 discussion, to promote group, or individual artistic activity and to advance the Greater Craigmillar community's collective cultural identity.
Issue 1 - Spring 09
Issue 1features artist Bert Torrance, opening statement from former CCA Chair, Gus Meechan and features on various dance projects.

Issue3features local artist and dancer, Linda Henniker; news on feature film based in EH16(made by yet another local boy made good, Colm McCarthy); info on the archives progress, following on from the huge success of Craigmillar Then; news and info on the drama group and the first of a series of articles acknowledging the work of volunteers past and present - this issue Eddie Coyle and Faye Milligan. Featured local hero - Alexander Brown - aka Bronx - winner of a Get Up & Go Award.
